I got this for my husband, who loves a gadget. He's delighted with it - very solidly made with all the bits functioning. Very good value for money.
I bought this pen a few eeks ago as I had some DIY jobs to do around the house in preparation for Christmas. I was really impressed with the construction of the pen. Its made of steel, and houses a screwdriver bit with both Phillips and flat head, a metric and imperial 4 inch rule on the outside. It also has a sprint level built in and a handy LED light in the end for when you are working in thise dark corners! And best of all there is a bottle opener cut in to the side of the body if the pen, so i can open and enjoy a well earned beer at the end of the day!
This comes into a slender box with the pen, spare nib and 3 coin batteries mounted into a black foam. I will say the batteries are impossible to remove from the foam backing and sink deeper when trying to remove due to how they are mounted. So I giving as a gift and maybe wanting to obtain more coin batteries then there is nothing listed on the box to say what type of batteries. The batteries are actually L735C or also known as AG3. The pen is quite heavy which is surprising and has a big chunk cut out half way down which is a bottle opener. There is a small spirit window to the side of the pen clip too. To get to the other components as there are no instructions you need to unscrew the nib end of the pen which pulls out a silver type with spongy silicone end which I unscrewed to find a flat end screwdriver which makes a tiny screwdriver and not easy to hold. If you pull that end out you get a Philips end and depending on end are held in via a magnet.. I did wonder If this was telescopic but it isn't, the other end if you twist it opens the pen nib. At the other end is a torch which Sean's to have the bateries included and you push like a push biro pen. To access the batteries you unscrew to release a cylinder which you unscrew again to access the batteries.General use looks good but I foresee and no further ink cartridges are provided that the pen after a while will vanish
